Change or update your Nook account password
Locked out, or just want a fresh password? There are two ways to do it — reset it from the login page using your email, or change it from inside your Nook account. Follow the steps below and you'll be back in within a minute.
Reset your password from the login page
Use this if you've forgotten your password and can't sign in. You'll reset it through the email address registered to your account.
Step 1 — Open the forgot password link
Go to your Nook account login and select the Sign In / Register option. On the sign-in screen, click the Forgot password? link.
Step 2 — Enter your account email
Type in the email address registered to your Nook account, then click Get new password. A link to reset your password will be sent to that email.
Step 3 — Check your email
Open the email from Nook and click the reset link inside it. This takes you to the page where you can set a new password. If you don't see the email within a few minutes, check your spam or promotions folder.
Step 4 — Set your new password
On the reset page, enter your new password and then type it a second time to confirm it. Once both entries match, submit the form and wait for the successful password change confirmation. You can then sign in with your new password.
- Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Your password must be a minimum of 6 characters.
- Enter the same password twice so it can be validated.
Change your password from your account
Use this if you're already signed in and simply want to update your password to a new one.
Step 1 — Log in to your Nook account
Sign in, then open the My Profile tab and scroll down to the Account Management section. Enter your new password there, then click Update account to save the change.
Note: when updating your password from inside your account, you'll be asked to enter your current (old) password to confirm the change to your new one. This keeps your account secure.
